Itinerary:

2:00AM – Departure from Pasay terminal going to Alas-Asin, Mariveles, Bataan.

5:00AM -After roughly 3-4 hours, arrival at Alas Asin. Register at Barangay.

6:00AM – Start trek.

As part of preparation, I read blogs about this mountain. I read it’s steep, assault, gradual assault, strong wind, but nevertheless, beautiful. This is classified as a Major climb and so major preparation I did. This is my first major climb this year. Definitely, not a bad one to start with.

This is very Tarak.

The trail is covered with trees causing the trek to be a little easier because it is not a direct sunlight.

Touched down the Papaya River. This was where we pitched our tents.

After approximately 3 hours, we finally touched down the Papaya River. This was where we pitched our tents.

You can also use a filter if you want to use it as a trail water.

The mystical Papaya River. So calming and relaxing view. This can also be a water source for cooking and stuff.

The most rewarding thing after a tiring 2am-4am trek to the summit is to see the sun shining. I feel like I am closer to it.

At the ridge where you can also camp. But this area has strong winds especially at night. You have to make sure your tent has pegs.
